  • Southwest PA here. We usually get our big storm in early March and it shuts everything down for a "whole day" - then it's back to business as usual.

  • As much as a death hurts, it can be a great healer, and can bring a family that has drifted apart back together. A recent death in my own family has prompted the planning of our next family reunion. We got away from doing it on a regular basis because everyone seemed so busy all the time.

  • We get snow here, but usually not enough to make a big fuss over. I love to look out at it from a nice cozy house. I like to go for a drive in it (and stay out of the ditches!) just to get a look at the countryside.

  • Ugly is an attitude. Beauty is a different attitude. I go about life with a beautiful attitude and I can tell you it gets me a lot further than an ugly attitude would. I try to teach my children to be beautiful too, and it's working!

• Family Heirlooms ... With Stories Waiting to Be Told.

  • Great story! Gosh, I wish I had some of the family heirlooms, but as the younger children of our families, my husband and I are low on the list to inherit. We did buy his parents' house from their estate, so this is the biggest heirloom we could have received anyway.

  • My niece once did a film project for art school and recruited my daughter to play a girl who was hit by a car and whose ghost later haunted the man who hit her. It was fun to see the makeup going on and I got pictures of her in makeup and costume.
